Intermission - Poker
Celebrities playing poker on television has become a big deal in the past few years. You get to follow the camera as poker stars play their hands. You, the viewer, can see what's in their hands and you know if they are bluffing or if they've really got a winning hand.
The game itself isn't terribly complicated. A lot of people play various types of poker in their own homes, using pennies or matchsticks instead of big money. Of course, it's all the luck of the draw, but understanding some strategy is also helpful. The beginner might be interested in playing poker at Poker Stars. They offer antes as low as .01 and .02.
If you're interested in playing online, though, at a place where the games can get wild, you can sign up at Pacific Poker for playing what's come to be known as some of the loosest games online.
If you'd like to try your hand at a wider variety of games, you can check out Paradise Poker. This site is less wild and loose, though it is a well-established gaming entity on the internet.
The choice is completely up to you.
