TOM SHADYAC - Producer

I mentioned in a previous post, about Dragonfly, that the producer is Tom Shadyac. You probably recognize his name, but this movie isn't like others he's produced. Movies like Bruce Almighty, I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry, Evan Almighty, and Nutty Professor II: The Klumps are not at all like Dragonfly. Probably the only one that I can find that is serious enough to be included with films like this is Patch Adams, a film that I enjoyed tremendously.

Born in 1958 in Falls Church, Virginia, he moved to Los Angeles in 1983, where he got his Master's Degree in filmaking from UCLA. He seems to have it all together when it comes to casting, since he frequently casts Jim Carrey in his productions. In fact, he gave Carrey his movie making start in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
