ALIEN: RESURRECTION
The fourth of the Alien series, and you thought Ripley was dead. She's not. The scientists of the future have cloned her from some scraps of her DNA and some DNA of the alien monster. Yes, she looks the same, but there is much that is different about her. In fact, she knows her name and has some latent memories of who she was in her former life, but there the similarity ends. She has to be convinced that she should be working toward a world free of the monster aliens.
You get to watch as the metamorphosis takes place in her heart and mind, but you also get to see all the failed cloning attempts and the cruelly monstrous results of those.
Sigourney Weaver still plays Ellen Ripley in this sci-fi adventure, set about 200 years after the last one.Alien: Resurrection, released in 1997, is R rated for gore and sci-fi violence and disturbing images. It's not critically acclaimed, but I liked it anyway.
