Talkie Zoo: THE MAIDEN HEIST

Cute, funny, and entirely entertaining, The Maiden Heist (2009; PG-13) is one movie you've just got to see. With a starring cast of Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken, William H. Macy, and Marcia Gay Harden, you just know you're going to fall in love with the characters as well as the story. I did.

The premise is three elderly security guards at a museum are so enthralled by certain works of art that they are terrified when the museum announces the art is all being sent to Copenhagen. It's then that they decide to become art thieves, replacing the original works with copies, and keeping the originals for themselves so they can continue to enjoy them.

Marcia Gay Harden plays Walken's wife, who becomes an unsuspecting accomplice in the theft. The guys work out the plan to the smallest detail, including every possibility but the kitchen sinks. Their old-guy antics will keep you laughing and yet your heart still goes out to these art lovers who just don't want to lose the masterpieces they loved.
