ENEMY OF THE STATE
I always enjoy films with Will Smith in them. He brings his own personality to every character he portrays, and this is no exception. In Enemy of the State he plays a lawyer who is unwittingly caught up in an NSA game of cat and mouse. All the technology of gps fleet tracking, bugs, and espionage come to play as Robert Dean (Smith) becomes entangled in the ultimate privacy issues that we now face for our own security.
A bird watcher captures video of a murder and the race is on to protect those who committed the murder and catch whoever has the film so it can never be released. Dean teams up with Brill (Gene Hackman) as they try to foil the plans of Reynolds (Jon Voight), a corrupt politician who is orchestrating the whole thing.
From the get-go, this R rated film is fast paced and full of action.
