Intermission - College degree
Even though Danny Elfman didn't attend any sort of school of music or other college dedicated to entertainment, and still is a great success, that doesn't mean that others have not nor that you should not. Many stars will tell you that they did attend post-secondary schools to further their education and perhaps get a degree in something that wasn't even related to acting.
Most of us who live the everyday life, though, probably need a college degree in order to achieve some of the career and financial goals we are seeking. There are a lot of online programs out there, and many are nothing but scams. They take your money then send you an "official" diploma in whatever field you have chosen without really offering any sort of classes or tutelage. The only one I can think of that is truly an online university is Capella.
A person who needs to continue their ordinary job while taking classes that could bring them a career advancement would do well to check into the course offerings at Capella.edu. You can contact them by phone at 1-888-CAPELLA (227-3552) or by simply visiting capella.edu.
