Intermission - Capella Student Award
Tammy Alexander has been awarded the 2006 FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award. She is studying for a degree in education with an emphasis on enrollment management. But there's much more to Tammy than her studies at capella university. Tammy is successful in other areas of her life as well.
She is the vice president on the board of advisors for the Infragard East Tennessee Alliance, a branch of the FBI. She is also director for information assurance and cybersecurity training at Fountainhead College of Technology in Knoxville, Tenn. This is one busy woman, and the award she received testifies to her drive and determination. Yet, she remains humble, as evidenced by her response:
“There are a lot of people who are deserving of this award,” Alexander says. “I’m so honored to be recognized among all of them.”
Capella University is an online university that offers 82 graduate specializations and 16 certificate programs. Serving more than 17,000 students from every state plus 56 foreign countries, this school is in it for the long haul and is producing outstanding community leaders.
Anyone who is interested in furthering their education while remaining at their current job should contact capella.edu or call them at 1-888-CAPELLA (227-3552). This is an alternative to attending local classes either full time or part time.
