GHOST BUSTERS

Being a movie aficionado as I am, we wound up buying the two-disk set of these Ghost Buster movies. Yes, they're pretty goofy but they are a ton of fun to watch.

I don't think they'd be too good for younger children. There is some mild language and potty humor. But for us, and for older children maybe over the age of 13, they are fun to watch. These movies poke fun at every scary, monster, ghost film ever made. Nothing is taken seriously, really, and there is plenty of physical humor to go along with this troupe of ghost hunters who capture their phantom prey with computers, science, and electronic gadgets.

Occasionally, I just like to watch nonsense movies, and these fit the bill. Made in 1984 (Ghost Busters) and 1989 (Ghost Busters II), and starring greats such as Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis, Annie Potts, and Ernie Hudson, these are simply fun in the best sense of the word.
