ROBOCOP

I didn't even realize we had this movie until last night. It was in Brandon's DVD case, which holds a huge amount of DVDs.

I remembered seeing Robocop years ago and thinking at the time that I kind of liked it. I thought then that it was really good graphics, plot, and acting. Ok. I watched it last night, and my! how opinions do change.

It's really a pretty lame movie. The acting is amateurish. The plot is predictable. The actors, I think, are doing the best they can with what they've got before them...or maybe not!

The bad guys in the movie are what you'd expect - dirty, foul mouthed, cold and heartless. The good guy - Robocop - is almost too good to be true. Oh yeah. It's not true. The social commentary is pretty good, but otherwise, this is not one I like very much.

Robocop is a 1987 film starring Peter Weller and others.

Now I know it got good reviews. And I know it was Oscar nominated. I just don't know why.
