SECONDHAND LIONS

This movie, made in 2004, is destined to be a classic, I think. Secondhand Lions received the Film Advisory Board's Award of Excellence. It's good family viewing although they do use a few "words" here and there. It's nothing more than you might hear at the grocery store, though.

Michael Caine, Robert Duvall, and Haley Joel Osment star as two elderly uncles and a young teen nephew who grow to know, love and respect one another after a very rough beginning. Walter (played by Osment), is left on a farm with his two so-called "crazy" uncles who have lived a rich, full life of adventure. The trouble is, most people don't believe their hair raising tales.

It's rated PG and I highly recommend that you see this wonderful movie.

I watched this movie yesterday for the first time. It will probably be a repeat. I really did enjoy it. Was gonna crochet while I watched, but I have to look as I crochet and was afraid I would miss part of the movie. Yes, I did cry near the end and when Walt found out his uncles had told the truth.
