DOOMSDAY PREPPERS SEASON 2
I’ve begun watching season 2 of Doomsday Preppers, a National Geographic series. This television show introduces the audience to a couple of different people or families each week who are afraid of certain catastrophic events that could change the way things operate in this country. Everything from economic collapse to natural disasters are prepared for by these folks. They gather food, supplies, arms, and occasionally a network of like-minded individuals or families to help them fight against whatever may lie ahead.
The most recent episode included a man and his teenaged son who attended mini-storage auctions in hopes of finding items they can use for prepping. If they win the bid, they find everything from guns and compound bows to wholesale printers and computers. Each item is carefully assessed to determine whether they can use it for prepping or at least sell it and use the money for buying prepping items.
It’s a pretty interesting series. Though some of the preppers are, well, a bit kooky, most of them have some really good ideas that anyone could use.
