THE LOST WORLD

Based on the story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, The Lost World (1992; PG-13) is a science fiction movie that takes the viewer to a primitive area in Africa that has been virtually untouched by man, except for the natives who live there. Filmed on location in Zimbabwe, travel with 6 people who are in search of the place where dinosaurs still walk the earth.

Two of the people are rival professors -- one seeks to prove the existence of the dinosaurs and the people who live in the same world with them while the other seeks to disprove their existence. Along with them their is a single, wealthy young woman, a journalist, a young boy, and a beautiful native girl who acts as their guide and interpreter.

This story was filmed long ago, as well, and has been filmed a number of times. I haven't seen the other versions, but this one, with John Rhys-Davies, is certainly well worth watching.
