CADFAEL

I can really get into murder mystery shows, and Cadfael fits the bill. This is a British television series set in Medieval England. Cadfael is a monk who is extremely interested in what we would today call forensic science. He's like a Middle Ages CSI scientist as he goes about solving deaths of people around his area. While some of his methods are frowned upon by those in charge of the monastery, and even the local sheriff and his band of enforcers, this monk, played by Sir Derek Jacobi, goes against everyone and comes out on top, always solving the mystery of how an individual has met his or her fate.

This series originally aired from 1994 to 1998 and when I got to the end of the series, I was really wishing for more episodes. I recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed watching not only CSI but Bones and other television shows where science and truth win out.
