IMPACT
This was a made-for-TV mini-series, so the DVD I rented was set up in two parts. Impact (2008) was pretty entertaining, overall. If you suspend your non-belief in such things, a record meteor shower hides a brown dwarf which hits the moon, causing all kinds of chaos, both lunar and earthly.
As the world watches, superpowers around the world and super-scientists are trying to figure out a way to avert the possible annihilation of the earth and everything on it. A great catastrophe, sci-fi movie, it's worth watching even if there are some factual goofs embedded in the script. C'mon. It is what it is.
