HEROES
I can't remember if I've ever done a review of the TV series Heroes, but if not, then I want to tell you a little about it now. Heroes is a show about a diverse group of individuals, each of whom has somehow evolved with special powers or gifts. For one, it's time travel. For another, it's rapid healing. For yet another, it's invisibility. The list goes on, but I'm sure you get the picture.
As the episodes continue, we meet new characters each time who wind up becoming involved with the already established characters. Some are working for good - some for evil. There are twists and turns in the continuing plot, some of which I found a bit hard to follow. In fact, they occasionally do flash backs that are sometimes hard to distinguish from the present occurrences.
The main thrust is that the good characters are determined to find a solution and possible cure for their powers, and they want to avert a nuclear crisis bound for New York City. This is not a crisis that can be solved by homeland security, since the only persons aware of it are the gifted individuals. Others tend to disavow their knowledge and label them as being on the fringe of society and possible mental cases. No amount of talking or encouragement to use safety products helps, so it's up to them to get the job of "saving the world" done.
So far I've watched the first season and part of the second season. We have three seasons in our library.
