HELLBOY

A kind of "superhero" movie, Hellboy tells the story of a devilish looking baby who grows up to be a super strong hero. I have to say, I was not that impressed with this movie. I felt the characters were trite and predictable throughout.

The story line was the same-ol same-ol story of an ugly creature, misunderstood by many yet in his chest beats the heart of a gentle giant. He is a stogie-smoking, ugly as sin, giant man-like creature who must keep his horns filed down in an effort to "fit in". Those close to him know that he really loves cats and kittens and keeps dozens of them in his room - or lair - or whatever place it is where he lives in his keeper's mansion.

The lesson here may be to not judge others by their looks. But this guy was arrogant from the get-go and definitely had his weaknesses.
