GONE IN 60 SECONDS

I do love an action movie, and Gone in 60 Seconds certainly fits the bill. This movie, starring Nicholas Cage, Angelina Jolie, and my favorite, Robert Duvall, is full of fast cars and high speed chases as Cage's character tries to steal 50 cars in one night to settle a debt owed by his younger brother. The ultimate car, a 67 Shelby Mustang, has always eluded him and caused him a lot of injury and grief in past times of trying to steal her, but "Eleanor" is the final car on the new list and he's determined to get her.

Although he has supposedly retired from stealing cars, he enlists the help of a number of former acquaintances to help him get this life saving feat accomplished. They synchronize their Festina watches, turn up "Low Rider", and off they go, rounding up cars from all over the city to fill the list that's been given to them.

This 2000 movie, rated PG-13 for violence, sexuality, and language, is not a classic, but it certainly has some classic cars in it for those who, like me, love cars!
