BEOWULF

This is the classic story of the hero Beowulf. You may remember this story from high school. It's a classic tale of a hero who defeats a monster that attacks a village, but is then seduced by the monster's mother. She comes to him in the form of a beautiful female creature, not exactly a woman, and promises that he will have the kingdom and all the riches if only he will comply with her one request. She is a witch, and she keeps her promise but it winds up being Beowulf's downfall.

This movie is done in total CG, by the same people who did Polar Express. It is wonderfully done and it's hard to tell that the characters aren't real, they are so life like. The story is well presented, too, in this 2007, PG13 film. There are very violent scenes, some sexuality and a little nudity presented, the last two of which could have probably been left out, but it's otherwise a good portrayal of the classic story.
