KING ARTHUR

This fine movie is the classic tale you all know and learned about as children. However, it takes the story beyond the sort of fairy tale you probably heard and into the stark reality of how wars were waged in those primitive times between ruthless nations.

This 2004 movie is gritty, to say the least, as Arthur and his knights fight for freedom through the Church in Rome, and are many times called back into action by the very Church that has promised freedom from its rule and its reign. Clive Owen plays King Arthur and he fits the role very well.

The film is rated PG-13 for the intense battle scenes, some language, and some sensuality, but probably comes closer to being the true tale of this hero king than any of the story books you've read.
