Indiana Jones' love life

Every Indiana Jones film has a love interest for the professor. Last Crusade even has that love interest for Dr. Jones' father, played by Sean Connery. So, how is it such an eligible bachelor with so much many charisma has never actually married any of the lovely heroines or villains he comes in contact with? I don't really know, unless it's his earnest dedication to archaeology.

If Jones did wed, would he give magical artifacts as groomsmen gifts? Would the wedding party be required to swing from a vine into a lair of snakes before being seated next to sinister looking guests? Would the invitations come in the form of maps which secret location could only be revealed in the light of a full moon in August, through a ruby-headed staff?
