102 CHRISTMAS SONGS

I found this gem at Walmart for only $6.96. 102 Christmas Songs has a very good mix of both secular and religious Christmas music, both instrumentals and vocals.

This is a 3 CD set and I listened to it last night while web surfing. I must say, it was enjoyable and relaxing. No, Grandma doesn't get run over by a reindeer anywhere in these arrangements. Some of the tunes were but excerpts of songs. Others were the full arrangement. This made it easy for me to listen to them because I wasn't inundated with one long song after another. The images on the outer case and on the jewel cases are charming Christmas images of the tree with gifts, the fireplace with stockings and an angel bearing a roasted turkey.

The CDs are compiled according to a particular time Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The descriptions on the box are:

  • Christmas Eve - Children and adults sing both traditional and new Christmas songs.
  • Christmas Morning - Instrumental classics arranged for the strings, flute, saxophone, and pennywhistle.
  • Christmas Dinner - Easy-listening, smooth instrumental holiday favorites.

This is produced by Twin Sisters Productions, LLC of Hong Kong.
