Controlling the home theater mess
After the first of the year, when the after Christmas sales are hot and heavy, I'll be shopping for a new HDTV. I'll have to do something with this old television I'm currently using. I think I've told you before that it's a relic. It is so old it never even had a remote control. Yes, that's right. You change channels on it with a dial, you turn it off and on and adjust the volume with a button, and it has the UHF and VHF choices. Does anyone besides me even remember that? Lower channels (Very High Frequency) only go from 2 to 13. Higher channels (Ultra High Frequency) go from 14 and up. I forget the highest number now.
Anyway, changing to a HDTV means getting a shelving unit to use for that and the home theater system I've got that is HD. It also means getting all the various wires and cables under control so they aren't such a tangled mess. I may have to buy color codes ties to get them where they aren't dragging everywhere behind the TV and so I'll know what cable goes to what plug in.
