Intermission - Isuzu and Toyota
Did you know that Isuzu and Toyota are joining together to produce a diesel engine? They are seeking ways to engineer a diesel engine in an isuzu pickup that will be economical and environmentally friendly.
In April of this year, Isuzu ended their capital alliance with GM and have switched over to an alliance with Toyota for the purposes of combining capital and resources to more effectively take this new venture forward. This also makes them the largest producer of diesel engines for passenger cars and other utilities in the world, producing around a million engines each year.
The purpose of the newer designs in diesel engines is to produce good fuel economy, durability, and power while protecting the environment and remaining aware of environmental issues.
