X-MEN: THE LAST STAND

I watched this a few days ago. This is a comic book movie brought to life through the use of real actors and situations. I'm sure X-Men has a large following in both animated features, live action films, and in the comic books. We've had such things around here for many years.

Definitely a fantasy, this particular movie - X-Men: The Last Stand - relates the story of a scientist who has developed a "cure" for the mutants who are living odd and strange lives due to their individual particular powers. Some mutants use their powers for good; others for evil. Most mutants in the movie didn't consider themselves to have any sort of disease, therefore they didn't need a cure. Others, though, desired to live like normal people without any of the powers.

The movie is raged PG-13 for the scenes of intense violence. I'm pretty sure it would appeal mainly to that age group, too. It stars many familiar actors including Hugh Jackman, Hallie Berry, Patrick Stewart, and Kelsey Grammer.

This isn't my favorite type of movie, but I can certainly see why young teens love it.
