THE NOTEBOOK
I believe a person would have to have a heart of pure stone not to be touched and moved by this movie. I cried in several places while watching it, even though I didn't want to cry. I have to say, it brought out emotions that I try to keep hidden. Probably because I wanted so badly for Danny and I to have a long life together and he was taken from me far too early.
It's the love story of two people, Noah (young - Ryan Gosling; old - James Garner) and Allie (young - Rachel McAdams; old - Gena Rowlands), who were from different worlds. He, from the poor side of town and a worker in a sawmill. She, from a wealthy background with the opportunities of the world at her feet. The Notebook takes you through the years of their love story - the ups and downs - and gives you insight into a love that runs deep and true for a lifetime. A love that goes beyond physical attraction and into that abiding and unconditional love we all crave.
I highly recommend this movie to you. But be prepared. Have Kleenex nearby.
