THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS
That is not a typo in the title. The Pursuit of Happyness is a great film starring Will Smith as a down and out salesman whose wife leaves him because they are so far into debt. He keeps his son with him, and begins to train as an intern for a stock brokerage firm.
This movie is based on the real-life person of Chris Gardner, and it takes you through all the very lowest parts of his life as he struggles to make ends meet and make a home for his son. I cried at several parts in the film, it's just that touching and moving.
But mostly, I realized that our life is what we make of it regardless of the struggles and trials. We can choose to roll over, or we can choose to fight through.
It's rated PG-13 for some mild foul language, but I still very highly recommend you watch this film. No, BUY this film and watch it again and again, especially when you are feeling defeated.
