ALIENS OF THE DEEP

Aliens of the Deep (2005), is a very interesting documentary film. Through it, you get to go far below the ocean's surface and view the landscape and creatures that inhabit the depths. Some of the creatures have never before been seen by man. They are unique in the fact that they have no sunlight, which on the surface is what gives life to our planet. These animals survive and thrive from the gases expelled from undersea chimneys.

I found this whole film to be captivating in every way. From the interviews with the scientists to the filming of the voyages, it kept my interest focused throughout, wondering what I was going to see next. There was a lot of adventure packed into this short, 47 minute film. It's rated G, so would be a great choice for family viewing, and could help spark some conversations about undersea life and space exploration as they correlate.
