Intermission - Voice over guy
If you've watched any television at all, you've seen the clever Geico commercials where a famous actor plus an "ordinary citizen" get together for the actor to interpret the citizen's experience with Geico insurance. The announcer for those commercials is not only a voice over artist, but he's also a film and television actor. His name is D.C. Douglas. He has had roles in such TV shows as Beverly Hills: 90210, Charmed, and 24. His voice is even heard in the Buffy: The Vampire Slayer video game.
If you're interested in hearing more of his voice over work, you can listen at My Voice Over Guy. You can also be looking for him and listening for him in upcoming productions such as the movie Deadwater. This nice move is just part of the results he's gotten since doing the Geico ads.
Isn't it odd how we come to recognize voices like his and directly relate them to a product? He's almost a cult figure with his voice ads for Geico being downloaded now at YouTube.com. You can view some of his TV and film work at DCDouglas.net.
