Intermission - Russian art

What you are viewing is the Lysakov Art Company, Inc. This is the place where Russian artist Victor Lysakov will make his United States debut. He came directly from Moscow to share only 40 of his personal collection of paintings. They will be made available for purchase. You will also be able to buy extremely high quality prints that are second only to the original pieces because of the way they are printed.

That process is known as giclée (pronounced zhee-clay) which is done by squirting paint onto the sheet in such a fashion that the resulting print is more like a painting than the normal print would be.

If you visit the website, you can read about Russian Artist Victor Lysakov's upbringing in Communist Russia and how he came to portray the many faces of Russia along with stories from the Bible he read when he was still just in high school. It's a fascinating story and I encourage you all to read it for yourselves. I think you'll agree with me that this man is truly a modern master. Having come from such a background and being inspired by it and in spite of it, his is a success story that many of us only dream about.

Look for more of his works to be offered by the end of 2007.
