Talkie Zoo: WAR OF THE WORLDS 2: THE NEXT WAVE

Not the best movie I've seen. Maybe even the worst movie I've seen, although Robocop and Treasure Raiders were certainly not worth watching, either. War of the Worlds 2: The Next Wave (2008; R) nothing if not boring and unimaginative.

The premise is that sometime after the original invasion, some three-legged "walkers" return through a worm hole and attack humans again, capturing them and running their bio-mechanical bots on human energy. Not Matrix energy...just tubes down the throat and IVs in the veins. At the center of it is a hero-dad who sets out to aid government forces in defeating the invaders as well as rescuing his son.

The star of the movie is also the director. I think he probably did some other stuff in the movie, but it was hard to tell. Anyway, I'd say don't waste your time or your money on this film, even though they obviously had a budget in the hundreds of dollars.
