Setting up my home theater
Since moving into a smaller house, I find my surround sound isn't as impressive as it was in the large house that had vaulted ceilings. Of course, I expected some change but really thought I could manage to place the speakers around this room to get the most benefit from them. So far, though, all I've managed to do is to bank them on each side of the place where my TV sits and set them to all "front".
I am considering a new setup, though, that includes audio racks so that I can get more detailed sound pushed out of the speakers. My home theater system isn't the greatest, but it's also not the worst and I should be hearing more of the finer sounds than I am now. I figure it has a lot to do with not having the speakers placed in optimal positions and programmed correctly for those positions.
