Other entertainment

As much as I love to watch movies, I've discovered that turning OFF the DVD player and TV, switching off the power strip that they're hooked to, and ignoring them has begun to save me some money on my power bill each month! Don't get me wrong - I still watch movies and listen to music. I just don't have it running all the time like I used to. Besides, at this time of the year it's just as important to find other kinds of entertainment. Things that don't involve sitting in the house for so many hours a day.

See, I do love gardening and consider it as much entertainment as movie watching. I also love to listen to my favorite oldies rock n' roll station on the radio, so I use the tuner on my Sony DVD player for that, crank it up loud, open the front door, and listen while I work in the yard.
