Turn it up!

I am a big believer in having the sound on my television turned up high enough so that I can hear all the details of a movie. However, I know some folks who keep their sound muted and leave the closed captioning on all the time. Now, I have to tell you, I find it very distracting to have the closed captioning running and trying to watch the action at the same time.

Still, I'm thankful for this kind of service. I work with a deaf woman and I know this is very helpful to her. She can enjoy TV shows, the news, and movies without missing anything because of closed captioning.
