GOOD WILL HUNTING
I bought this movie today based on just what it said on the cover. I'd heard of Good Will Hunting before, but hadn't seen it. I got my money's worth. This Academy Award winning movie is everything it was purported to be on the DVD case. Starring a much younger Matt Damon (Will Hunting), Ben Affleck (Chuckie Sullivan), Minnie Driver (the love interest, Skylar), and Robin Williams (psychologist Sean Maguire), this movie is no comedy. It's a serious look at the life of a young genius who is currently heading down the wrong road as far as criminal activity.
He is discovered by a MIT professor, and counseled by a series of psychologists, psychiatrists, and hypnotists until he is put in the hands of one unique psychologist who sees beyond the rough exterior to the real person inside. Robin Williams plays the insightful and human psychologist who reaches the young man, Matt Damon.
This 1997 movie is rated R for the bad language and some scenes of violence and brief sexuality. It's not for the kids, but it's a good watch anyway.
