RAIN MAN
An odd sort of classic, Rain Man (1988) is a movie that will really start you thinking about some of the disabilities people may have and how important it is for families to acknowledge them instead of hiding them away.
Dustin Hoffman (the Rain Man Raymond Babbitt) and Tom Cruise (the younger brother Charlie Babbit) play well off each other in their respective roles. Raymond is a savant (Asperger's Syndrom, a form of Autism) who is also very focused on his particular schedule and way of doing things. Charlie is a sharp car salesman of exotic cars who finds himself inheriting only a fraction of his father's fortune because the rest was left to his brother. He didn't even know this brother existed until after their father's death.
The set out on a cross-country adventure and along the way wind up bonding in a deep and profound way.
Oscar winning movie is without a doubt one worth watching again.

I haven't watched that movie in years. Time to dust it off and watch it again.
We have it on DVD and I pull it out and watch it every so often.
