Hunger and Other Stories

Occasionally a book comes along that's really worth buying and reading. Such is the case with this book, Hunger and Other Stories. This is a series of short stories about the human experience. They concern parents and grown children, as well as other important relationships we have in our lives. It's not a self-help book. It's fiction but the stories can certainly teach a lesson.

We all have experiences as we move through life that mold us into the person we are today, and future experiences that will change us even further. This book is the telling of several such experiences and how the subjects responded, grew, or lagged back with each one.

I believe this is destined to be a classic and will be ranked up there with other great books which deal with similar subject matter.

The excerpt I read was the story of a father and son who operated a business together, but who were worlds apart when it came to the way the business was run. The son sets out to establish his own business with a gifted toymaker and learns the hard way that what his father taught him was right.
