PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN; THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL

That's the movie I'm watching right this minute. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is a light drama or black comedy. I can't decide which. Johnny Depp plays Captain Jack Sparrow, an adventuring and humorous pirate who has set out to find the ghost ship The Black Pearl in order to rid the on-board cursed pirates of their curse.

It's lots of swashbuckling, sword fighting, pirate and British navy action based in the 1700s, although some terminology is definitely not from that era. It's rated PG-13 for the action and violence. Still, a fun movie to watch as Captain Sparrow sometimes makes funny goofs or amusing quips.
