CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

Johnny Depp again, playing the role of Willy Wonka in the famous chocolate factory. While not totally true to the original book, this version does follow the original much more closely and the author actually had input into the making of this family film. I wouldn't say it's for very young children since some scenes are rather intense and could be frightening to them, but otherwise this movie is good family viewing.

You all probably already know the story line. The chocolate factory has closed to the public and Willy Wonka is beginning the search for someone who is worthy of taking over production in the factory. Only five people in the world will have a chance to vie for this honor, and the contestants will have found a golden ticket inside the wrappings of one of his candy bars.

In the final analysis, this is the story of honesty and integrity winning out over greed and selfishness.
