20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA

A classic in every way, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea starring Richard Crenna and Ben Cross retells the tale of Captain Nemo and his submarine. Written by Jules Verne, this story includes not only science fiction but adventure and finally revenge. The story is less about the ocean and more about one man's quest to set aright the wrongs that he felt were done to him by those on land. He builds a submarine and uses it to destroy ships from the offending countries.

Well written, of course, and the film was done very well, too.
