SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW

Are you up for adventure, thwarting an evil scientist, and all-around good humor? This is the movie for you! As with all such movies, the goal of the scientist is to destroy the world. Sky Captain Joe is the ONLY person able to stop him. The movie is interesting in how it was made. It was all shot against green screen and the actors are never actually IN the situations they depict. It's also made after the order of some of the old sci-fi films and looks like an old black and white movie that's been colorized.

I really enjoy this movie over and over, though. They did a really good job making it look real in some ways, and surreal in others.

Released in 2004, it stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law, who do an amazing job playing off each other as a newspaper reporter and a fighter pilot.
