Talkie Zoo: STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE

Star Trek: Enterprise is the TV series that is a prequel to the original Star Trek, with the inimitable Captain Kirk. This series stars Scott Bakula as Captain Jonathan Archer. (You remember him...he was in Quantum Leap.)

This series centers around the time 100 years before the Prime Directive and before the Federation began. It was in the early stages of space exploration when they had just begun having warp capabilities.

I am a Trekkie, so I like this series just as much as any. They have adventures, meet interesting and sometimes hostile aliens, see worlds no one could have imagined, and maintain their ability to not affect the natural progress of indigent peoples on newly discovered planets. They strive to be morally upright in their dealings, though, being merely human, they occasionally fail.

I watched every episode from every season that ran from 2001 to 2005 on my Netflix account. Really, I should have watched this series and then watched the Captain Kirk series next, but it's all good. Now I'm watching Star Trek: The Next Generation with Captain Jon-Luc Picard. I'll let you know how that turns out.
