Writers' strike may end

After three long and crippling months, it looks like the writers' strike could possibly come to an end as the Guild recommends that an agreement be met. Writers have been on strike for residuals for things distributed on the internet. The strike has brought most shows to a standstill, and forced TV watchers to view endless reruns of shows like Desperate Housewives and 24.

Some say this strike shows how powerful a union can be in achieving results for its members. My personal thought? Where is the union for the regular day-workers when they need wage increases and more benefits?
