HEATH LEDGER - 1979 TO 2008

It's a sad day for us all when a young man dies. Heath Ledger was found dead in a New York City apartment, possibly a drug overdose.

A young actor who starred in such films as Brokeback Mountain, A Knight's Tale, and The Patriot, to mention a few, and who had such a promising future has passed and left behind a young daughter - Matilda. While we'll all miss his acting and the passion he had for that, his daughter is the real loser in all this. She has no father to teach her to ride a bike or to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day, now.

I was shocked to read the news of his passing. I always hate hearing about deaths, but somehow this news just really shocked me. I don't think anyone had anymore promising a future than this young man, who was so fully absorbed in the parts he played and who worked his craft with focus and determination to play his parts with authenticity.
