Intermission - Filming on location

Three Kings was obviously filmed in the desert, but which desert? I've learned that the real estate used in the film was actually in the U.S. and that it was all southwestern deserts. Some filming was done in Arizona, but a great deal of the locations were in California, at places like Calexico, Los Angeles, and Niland. Part of the filming was done in Mexico as well.

Regardless, the locations were harsh and trying due to the stifling heat. I don't think I'd like that. Give me air conditioning!
