DIE HARD

Not a new movie by any means, but certainly an exciting adventure. Die Hard is the first of four in the series starring Bruce Willis. He's the ultimate tough-guy cop and is pitted against a truly bad guy. This man is out to steal millions of dollars and in the process, take a lot of lives. He says he's working to free some prisoners, but the real truth is he's just plain a thief.

John McClane (Willis) is in LA to try and restore his relationship with his wife, who has moved there for her job. She winds up being in the building where the robbery is to take place, along with other people. They all are taken hostage and only McClane, who is hiding out in the part of the building that's under construction, can take out the thieves and save the hostages.

There's lots of shooting and blood, and quite a bit of bad language, so this isn't for your kids to watch. It's pure entertainment as we watch McClane beat impossible odds and survive what would kill others in the same situation.

This 1988 movie is rated R for obvious reasons.
