NAPOLEON DYNAMITE

Ok, yes. My taste in movies ranges pretty wide but I really do like this one a lot. Napoleon Dynamite is fun in a high school kind of way. I found it to be refreshing because there is no hint of dirt or obscenity in the movie. It's a goofy film about a high school boy's day-to-day life living with his grandmother and older brother. The simplest things become life changing at that age, and Napoleon is no exception. He is a teller of tall tales about his life and adventures, which in truth amount to very little in reality. Still, he's a true-blue friend to Pedro and the love interest to Deb, his new sweetheart.

It portrays the angst of the teen life in high school without the downfalls many actually do experience. It's funny and still delightful.

Jon Heder plays Napoleon, and does a bang-up job of it.
