BEETLEJUICE
Or, as it's named within the movie "Betelguese". I suppose it's all a matter of the pronunciation, though. Beetlejuice is a dark comedy based on a young couple's experience in the afterworld, which winds up being in their own home. Starring Winona Ryder, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Michael Keeton, and other greats, this 1988 film is funny in a deathly-morbid sort of way.
I personally like watching this movie. Every time I view it, I see something I missed in a previous viewing which only serves to enhance the viewing experience. See, there's a lot going on all the time so some things might get overlooked. Just what you'd expect from a Tim Burton film.
This is a movie not made for children due to scariness and a certain word spoken occasionally in it, but it is a real piece of art, I believe, not just because of the story line itself (the couple's efforts to remove the living occupants of their home through the use of Beetlejuice's abilities) but because of the effects employed.
