SYRIANA

This is not simply a movie for entertainment. This movie is political in nature and that's one of the reasons I like it so much. I lean toward movies that tell the story of a real person and what they go through.

Syriana digs deeply into the world of oil on the global market, ranging from Houston to the oil fields of the Saudi desert. While not an action-packed adventure, it's nonetheless gripping in presentation and suspense. This is the kind of movie that makes you really think about the intrigue surrounding Big Oil and the people who literally risk their lives getting it out of the ground and into our gas tanks.

Definitely not for the younger set due to language and extreme violence, this movie is rated "R". Still, worthwhile watching for anyone who keep an eye on the news.
